A Winter Solstice Intention Setting Ceremony

At Heal Haus in Clinton Hill, BK

As the longest night of the year, Winter Solstice marks the astronomical first day of winter in the Northern Hemisphere. With the fewest hours of sunlight, it is one of the most powerful transition points seasonally and energetically, where a unique shift of primordial energy can be felt in the air. The darkness of winter beckons a slower and more inward quality of life, asking us to engage in activities that nourish the soul, releasing any sense of uneasiness, yearning, longing, or loss. It’s a period of time where we can realign our choices and tend to the deepest aspects of our inner nature.

On this Winter Solstice, we’ll gather in ceremony to nurture our inner light which will allow us to navigate the dark. We’ll harness the celestial bodies, grounded and held by the rhythms of the earth through candle ritual and guided breathwork meditation. This journey will help us gain clarity in our intentions to aide in personal growth that will create lasting change within. As a reminder of our commitment to our spiritual selves,  we’ll fix and create candles with specially chosen herbs and oils to honor the light within.
